scotchlite

3m scotchline reflective material 5510Why 3M Scotchlite means Enhanced Visibility...

Highly reflective for enhanced visibility. Developed by 3M to help athletes be seen at nighttime and low light conditions. The 3M Scotchlite material provides increased visibility on the moving parts of the leg.  This is extremely important because each year, many athletes are killed in traffic crashes. Of the total accidents, 65 percent of pedestrian fatalities occur between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.  Using Reflective clothing can increase visibility.

  • Visibility enhanced for low-light conditions like early morning or evening
  • Garment has a wide elastic waistband with a high waist
  • Reflective transfer on both legs

  • Sizing runs true to size

3M Scotchlite transfer films are composed of wide angle, exposed retroreflective lenses bonded to a silver fabric.  Reflective films help enhance the visibility of the wearer in nighttime or low-light conditions when illuminated by a light source, such as headlights, by returning the light back toward the original source and reaching the car driver's eye.

    Good

Posted by Tony on Nov 13th 2017

These are good. I am staying with bibs though.
They can come down a bit when riding.
Apart from that they are nice and comfy.

    Ideal for cooler weather

Posted by Joe on Oct 18th 2017

I finally got a chance to wear these tights today. I went out riding my road bike 24 miles with a 58 degree temp this morning and the tights were the ideal comfort level for a sunny fall day in northeast Ohio. I got these in a large which fit me well ( 5'7", 180lbs) though the leg length is slightly more than an inch too long for my legs. No worries as I rolled them under easily because of the stretch fabric.

good fit for a big man size.

I was very pleased to have this garment fit me properly. Your sizing is based on American sized people and not the usual European stuff that is all over the place for size and fit.

    Long Legs

Too loose, may be body style, length. Made for traditionally taller riders.

compression, excellent chamois comfort, 3M reflectivity for safety.

Posted by Gabe G on Jan 6th 2017

I ordered size small. I'm 5-8, 181 lbs. I prefer more compression when road-cycling over weathered chip seal urban and rural paved roads. The length fits my 29" inseam great. The fabric and stitching is comfortable against the skin.
These are NOT thermal or insulating (a plus for fair-weather rides). The chamois is very comfortable for road cycling. I regularly train to 50 miles and have ridden a century in these with minimal discomfort in the saddle. Consistency has been the key for me along with saddle choice and proper saddle and handlebar adjustment. The Elite Pad is one of my favorites for longer-distance pedaling.

    Fit nice

Posted by GEORGE on Oct 16th 2016

I have bought a lot of bike shorts and pants from aerotech. Unfortunately this was the fist pair that after my fist ride they ripped around the crouch. So basically I just wasted my money.

Functional and comfortable, but not sturdy

Posted by Chris on Apr 3rd 2016

I really like these tights in terms of how they fit and feel. However, within just a few weeks, the stitching at the waist is already starting to come apart. It won't ruin the tights, but I'm probably going to have to take them in to get mended. that's pretty disappointed. Considering the cost of having them shipped up to Canada and the exchange rate, I wouldn't buy them again.

    ATD 3M Men's Cycling Tights

Posted by Gene on Dec 2nd 2015

Excellent fit, and I'm a taller individual with a longer than average inseam. I generally have to find items in the "tall" category for them to fit properly. These cycling pants were plenty long enough, and the quality seems very good. Looking forward to warmer legs this winter riding season!

Fit Well Even On A Big Guy

Posted by Frank on Nov 3rd 2015

I have bought from ATD before so I was not surprised to find that these are excellent tights. I am a big guy - 6'2" 285 lbs. I bought these for a Gran Fondo event in October that I have been training for. I knew it was going to be colder than my normal bib shorts could handle so I bought a pair of these. They fit great! The padding was even better than the padding in my bib shorts. When I put on the tights, they actually pulled up past my belly button, but over the course of the 58 mile event they rolled down to waist level. I have a belly, like I said, so I assume that is why that happened. Also for that same reason I prefer bibs, but the cold weather bib tights were out of my price range.
