They do run true to size...or even a little big!
Whenever I order bicycle clothing I order a size bigger because it always seems they run small. Well thus was not the case for these shorts. They are actually big on me! So if you order order your true size. The work well and are exactly what I expect for a cycle short...thank God for the belt!

I am very happy with these shorts, the strech in the fabric makes them are comfortable to wear and ride in.

about two yrs ago I bought a pair of these shorts and commented that I wish there was a snap type button instead of the button type button the closes the shorts. Well after two years the button is still holding up and now I own four pairs of these shorts. I commute five days per week 10 miles each way and have never been uncomfortable. Love the zipper pockets and the stretch material. Great shorts!!

Great for Commuting and Recreational Riding
I wear these on all rides except long club rides. They are made of a very comfortable but tough material. Very good value compared to other shorts.
ProsComfortable Long wearing Fit (sized big but once you compensate for that you're good.) Price
ConsBelt buckle is kind of cheesy but I'm nitpicking.

Great for recumbent
These are great for a recumbent bike. I have 34 inch waist, and size small is a perfect fit.
ProsGood material. Lots of pockets. Adjustable leg closures.
ConsThe legs are a tad bit long, but not unreasonably long.

Excellent quality and design/
I ride recumbent Trikes, and finding comfortable non padded shorts is difficult. I ordered a pair of these commuter shorts, just got them day, and was truly surprised at not only the design but how well they are made. Will be ordering from you folks again.
ProsFit, design, price, quality.

These shorts are fantastic. Light weight, comfortable, and keep you dry. Without the padded bottom they are perfect for long rides on my recumbent. The deep pockets with zippers are an added bonus.

I was pleased to find that these shorts do everything that I need for my particular outdoor sport. The fit is good. The stretch material allows full range of motion in my legs and hips.
ProsGood fit, cool, sharp looking
ConsI had to guess a bit on the size. Customer service was helpful in pointing me in the right direction though. Size up if you want a looser fit.
Best UsesAnything outdoors that requires a large range of motion.

This was a rebuy. I've had these shorts before and have liked them a lot. I've used them for mtn biking and fitness rides. Good fit, comfortable, durable, and a reasonable price sums it up for me.

Nice n Comfy
Bought a blue pair of XXL - first ride yesterday - 30 miles. The shorts were great! Very comfortable & great give on the bike. The material is very light. If you put anything in the leg pockets - the pocket will dangle out from the short leg while riding but they would work fine when off the bike. With 4 other pockets to choose from who cares. The belt is a bit flimsy and getting the buckle inserted can be irritating.... but it's light and did the job. I also bought a pair of Aerotech padded underwear to use under the shorts. These did not work out so hot. The light touring pad was perfect for the seat - but unfortunately does not come up high enough in front to cover your junk. The mesh material of the undewear are nice except where rubbing on your junk. At about 15 miles I had to stuff an hanky down there or I was going to die. Looks like they either used the same pad as for smaller sized underwear or for ladies. I compared the pad to those in my MtBora baggie shorts and a pair of Pearl Izumi compresssion shorts and those both come up 2 inches or more higher in front. Hopefully they read these reviews and will make some adjustments. Going to have to sew in a piece of chamois or toss them. Anyway the shorts were GREAT, the underwear - not so much.
ProsStretchy, lots of pockets (6), elastic waist, generous size at waist without being excessively baggy in legs, belt to help elastic waist from sliding down.
ConsSide leg pockets placed low enough that pocket material hangs out from short. Bottom pocket corners or edge should be sewn down so it doesn't shift and fall out bottom of leg opening when riding. But as said there are 4 other pockets to while riding.

Great value in an unpadded short
I bought these when I was unhappy with the fit of a similar Zoic product. Though these don't come with a liner, they are a great all-around outdoor short for biking, hiking, boating, etc. I just throw on one of my lighter pairs of cycling shorts underneath and they are good for touring, MTB, or casual cycling. Look good, well constructed and plenty of very usable pockets. They do run about a half-size large compared to other brand name shorts I own.
ProsLight weight, cool, comfortable, fast drying, durable, lots of pockets with secure closures.
ConsNo liner but price reflects that.
Best UsesLight weight and fast drying. Cycling, hiking, boating, you name it.

Very Comfortable! However,
These shorts are very comfortable. However, the belt that it comes with didn't maintain it's tension. During my first use, I stopped every few miles while bicycle riding to stop, pull my pants up and tighten the belt. I ended up replacing the belt with one I already had. Also, I'm a size 42. According to their size chart, 2X-Large is the recommended size for me. However, I found that it was a little too big for me. I can put them on & take them off without unbuttoning them. Next time I'll purchase the X-Large instead.
ConsBelt doesn't maintain it's tension.

Very comfortable. I'd even wear them for everyday use, not just cycling or hiking.
ProsGood stitching, comfortable. If I overtighten the belt it just comes undone instead of the buckle breaking like it will with some other brands.

Best shorts ever for a tall, thin fellow like myself
I've searched for many years for shorts like these, which I use primarily when riding my recumbent bike but also enjoy wearing around town. Unlike most other shorts I've tried, these in the small size actually fit properly upon my 6'-4" tall frame and 34" waist--without being baggy around my skinny legs. They feel good and fit snugly without being too tight, and they've got great pockets with zippers. Plus, Aero Tech's customer service is excellent and my orders typically arrive within 2-3 days. I highly recommend these shorts and Aero Tech Designs.

Bought a pair a couple of months ago and love them. They were a size bigger than I take because my size was out of stock. Last week I bought another pair, correct size, and come to find the button on the WRONG side along with the zipper opening. Sorry but in my opinion these are "seconds" and should not be sold or at least discounted. I've never owned a pair of men's pants with the button and fly backwards! I called and the rep admitted that some of the shorts were made backwards. He said there was a disclaimer "somewhere" on the web site. I don't see it and I will NOT buy another pair. I also find the lower pockets too long on these shorts. My cel phone was hanging out below the hem while riding and flopping all over. This is NOT and issue on the correctly sewn shorts. Be aware if you are ordering these short. Otherwise, they are GREAT. Too bad they're BACKWARDS.
ProsWell made if SEWN correctly
ConsButton on the WRONG side and zipper access is from the left unlike every other pair of men's pants I've worn in the last 60 years. Lower pockets too long while riding. Anything in them will hang past the hem and flop around.

These are my favorite shorts. I like the longer length. Light yet strong; multiple pockets, quick to dry. Very durable, not showing much wear after many 21-mile round trip commutes in Chicago.

Commuter urban cargo shorts
Very comfortable, light, and waterproof is great, but a little too long for my taste. The pics seem to make the shorts look a bit smaller but longer then you see in provided images.
ProsLight, waterproof, many compartments, thin, firm un bulky compartments.
ConsLittle tong, too many loops for belts.
