The Black Bike short is made from tricot knit fabric that is highly aerodynamic and hydrodynamic. The microfiber nylon is 84% micro-denier Nylon and 16% Spandex. It is beefy weight and offers supreme compression for enhanced blood flow. The compression supports muscles and movement. This reduces muscle fatigue and lactic acid buildup. This blend of nylon fibers allows for a very soft feel that dries instantly and "sweats well" during your workout. The slick surface reduces wind drag and promotes aerodynamics for speed and energy efficiency. By Aero Tech Designs.

The Black P. Bike Short's Chamois is very comfortable to absorb shock and prevent abrasion.

It is made of long lasting engineered pads for anti-shock and comfort. This shock absorbing cellular urethane is designed to absorb shock for the life of the short. It is breathable in that it lets water vapor and perspiration move away from the body. This pad resists abrasion, is smooth and wrinkle free. The black padding will not change its properties with usage and will not harden or soften with use. The molded foam cells are "open cell structure" which allow water transportation while maintaining its ability to absorb shock without bottoming out.

    cycling shorts

I am tall and thin. An extra 2" on the length would be perfect. These are the best I could find and they are comfortable.

    Great Bike Shorts

Posted by John on Sep 12th 2017

I'm 6'-6" and have never been able to find a quality long rise bike short until now. I have paid over $120 a pair for high end bike shorts, but the Aero Tech fit bette. Great quality.

Never going back to the main stream brands again.

    Long Shorts

Posted by Big John on Jul 12th 2017

I love the length of these shorts. I am very tall and these are the longest that I have. They run larger than normal in my opinion. I have a 38 or 39 waist and all of my other cycling shorts are XL. These seem a little too big. The compression on my legs is not very tight compared to others. My legs are relatively thin. I probably should have gotten a large. Also this pad is not as thick as most of my other shorts. I get uncomfortable on long rides wearing these.

Have a pair of these, but needed second pair. Same good quality and fit. Nice to be able to find stuff to fit my long legs.

    Too Large

Bought size recommended for my waist. Shorts have enough room for one more person along with me. Way too large!

    The Best I've Ever Had

Posted by bicyclebob on Aug 25th 2016

With over 40 years of serious cycling by butt know what a good pair of shorts should feel like and these are the best ever. Plus the nearly knee length gives extra support to the quads and they look just like the Movistar team shorts!

Great find for a tall big guy

Posted by Charles on Jun 28th 2016

I read reviews and was nervous about size, so I ordered 4xl tall. Way too big.
I returned for 3xl tall. Awesome.
Me: 6'3" tall. 40 lbs over my fighting weight, which is about 220. So I'm a pretty big guy anyway. All my extra weight is in my mid-section, not in my legs. So strong cycling legs, but not a bigass, etc.
What I hate about most 2XL shorts is they are really tight in the thighs - and the upper section pulls up over my navel. It's weird. It's like cycling clothing manufacturers think we have skinny legs and have supremely long torsos.
These shorts (3xl long) are long in the leg, but fit to my waist like they should. They're a wee bit loose in the thigh, and they reach almost my knee, but I like that. (I hate shorts that go half way up my thigh and the elastic makes a sausage out of me.)
Beyond all that - the materials are fantastic. Great build quality. I'm psyched to have found aerotech. This is my first purchase, and I will be back. (I sound like I'm a shill for the company, but honestly I've been riding real miles for almost 20 years and am just so tired of being shoe-horned spandex like I'm a hungry east-European track star. I'm just an average dad-bod who likes to ride, and excited to find clothes that fit.)

    Poorly Placed Pad

Posted by Dave on May 23rd 2016

This is a nice pair of cycling shorts of quality material and construction. I'm 160 lbs, and 6'0" with proportionally longer-than-average hip to heel measurement. I have recently purchased and returned many other pairs from other manufacturers, all sized medium, that were far too tight, either overall or particularly in the thigh hem. Size large works for some of those other brands of shorts for the overall fit but most don't come down my leg as far as I like. Many reviews for these Aero Tech shorts stated they fit a little loose so I tried the size Medium one more time. They fit! However, be aware; there are four other reviewers on just the first page (more on following pages) who state specifically that the pad is positioned poorly in that it is too far forward. I agree. I sit off the back of the pad when in an upright position on my road bike. The measurement from mid-crotch to the back of the pad on these shorts is 5 inches. The six other pairs of cycling shorts I own from different manufactures ALL terminate two inches higher in the back.
