    Highly recommended

I'm a big guy. I've never been comfortable wearing biking shorts alone and have always worn a pair of loose fitting athletic shorts over them. While these are marketed as appropriate for mountain biking, they are superlight and well ventilated for maximum cooling even when worn over spandex. They run just a tad small and have room to take up the waist so go a size larger than you would normally buy. Otherwise, they're great.

    Great concept/poor execution

Posted by James Peyton on Jul 4th 2018

These shell shorts have everything except a viable means of keeping them from falling off. The side panel adjustment straps constantly loosen, even with the pockets lightly loaded. After tugging them tight several times, the right-side strap tore off the shorts.

Simple fix: add drawstring adjustment and/or integral FULL belt. At the very least add belt loops. There is one loop for hanging a bike light...add a few more and this item gets 5 stars

    Unpadded shorts

I'm 6' 7", 48 Inch waist, 300 pounds. The 5X fit great with room to spare. I like the Velcro pockets for securing cash on my ride.

    Well designed, and very comfortable

Posted by George on Jul 24th 2017

Light, comfortable, cool, fast drying and very well ventilated. Plenty of pocket space without looking like typical cargo shorts. I'm a 32 waist, M fits well as long as I dont expand any more! Bought these to wear with cycling undershorts, but find them good for casual wear, occasional swim, etc.

    pretty good---

I thought the shorts had belt loops, and for some reason their is a belt loop in the back, but no others. The side straps used to tighten up the shorts in the waist don't hold well, and loosen very easily when riding. I guess that is understandable though, when being in the forward leaning position, and breathing heavily sometimes. Loops for a belt, or even a draw string would be a good addition. On the plus side, they are comfortable, have lots of pockets, and night safety reflector strips are great. Would I buy them again? Afraid not. Seems I'm always having to tug on the straps to hold them up. Probably could go on a diet would help reduce my paunch. But that's why I'm riding!

Arrived promptly in two days. Shorts fit perfectly. Fabric and style are perfect for when I ride my recumbents and velomobile. Very comfortable. I'd buy them again.
