Chamois Padding Features of The Women's Victoria Capri

antibacterial t.m.f. chamois padThe Women's Victoria Capri have a breathable, shock absorbing chamois padding sewn into the crotch area of the garment. The face of the chamois pad has a light fleece microfiber fabric that is hydrophobic which means it stays dry and keeps moisture from building up in the saddle area.  The material is 100% polyester with a wicking action that pulls moisture to keep the pad dry.  The 3D pad is engineered to have multiple layers of fabric and multiple densities of foam for cushioning the bicycle ride.  The pad is elastic and stretchy with technical micro perforation for breath ability and air flow. The engineered foams are precision cut for stretchability and excellent anatomical fit. The surface has an antibacterial surface to keep the chamois pad protected from bacteria that causes saddle sores. This chamois is ideal for users of chamois butters or anti friction creams.

Cycling knicker has a 10mm chamois padThis chamois padding is 3 dimensional with varied levels of thickness.  Chamois pad is lightweight and perforated for breath-ability. Its design enables a thicker density for the sit bones and a thin density between the legs and in the chafe zones on the bicycle saddle. The pad has rapid sweat absorption, is easy wash & quick dry. Pad has a 3 Dimensional molded design with lazer cutting technology that creates thicker and thinner densities of foam where it is needed on the bicycle saddle.

My favourite so far!
Love the material on these compared to another pair I purchased in recent years. The design and feel is closer to a yoga pant than a spandex bike short, and are more flattering, especially for those of us with lumpy thighs. I like that the capris are not compression along the calves either. Good fit, might suggest sizing up if you're on the fence. The padding feels thick enough and is adequate, but not quite as dense as I'd ideally like for my mid rides over 30km. Coloured reflective strip at bottom unfortunately rubs up against chainring, leaving them grease stained. Thank you for making these in plus sizes. Would love to see this design/material in a full length padded legging.
ProsMaterial and design flattering.
ConsCould use a bit denser padding.

Cute for shorter rides
These are attractive and can be worn off the bike for stops at bars restaurants on your ride without looking too silly. They are good for shorter rides but consistently stop being comfortable after 15 miles. They fit a little looser then the typical bike short which can lead to some rubbing.

Best Cycle Capris Ever!
They fit perfect. The padding is where it should be and stays there. I love the racing green on the cuffs (it matches my bike) I will certainly be ordering more from your company! I'm a larger and tall women and you have a wonderful variety of nice looking clothes. Good Bye Terry (sorry -tired of waiting for you to offer as nice of clothing as you do for the size 0-16 people). Works Okay
I'm very happy that ATD makes cycling capris for plus sized women. I like the feel of the fabric, and the pad seems fine too. The only thing I wish were different is - I wish the top came up higher. It fits okay, but some cycling tights have an extended waistband in the back to help avoid the dreaded gap when you lean forward. These tights do not. I will still use them - but I will also switch if I find a design I like better.
ProsComes in Plus Sizes Comfortable Fabric
ConsSits a little low No extended waist in back

Too short in the back
The pant is cut much shorter in the back at the waist line. The padding was less than I expected. I just mailed it back to you.
Merchant Response:Hello Wendy, Thanks for the feedback. We used your comments along with others to update the fit of this item so that it has a higher rise in the back. I think you will find them to be much more comfortable for you with these pattern revisions. We appreciate you taking the time to comment to help us make them a better fit. c

Not right for me
I've purchased 2 pairs of ATD shorts sized xxl in the past with no issue. The fit of these capris are much smaller with a fairly low rise. The last thing I need when cycling is a plumbers crack! I have no issue with the quality of materials, reflectiveness or chamois. These are all good. But I would have needed at least one size up from the 2XL (I normally wear a 16-18 pant size). I would recommend this to a friend only if they knew about the sizing issue.
Merchant Response:Hello Rosie, Thanks for the feedback on the sizing issue regarding the low waist. Good start!
I'm new to cycling - but my cycling friends told me I "had" to get padded bottoms of some sort. I was excited to see a 'plus size' padded capri option available through this site. And I have ordered 2 pairs of these and have worn them on a couple of 10+ mile rides already. The only complaint I have with these capris is - they are short waisted. What I mean by that is even though they fit my amazonian build - they sit much lower on my hips than any clothes I normally wear. So I often find myself hoisting them up at intersections waiting for the traffic to pass. Now if the site of a plus size amazon (6ft tall) in tight clothes isn't enough to make a person giggle - I'm sure me fussing with my capris adds to the humor. All that being said - I can get over the need to pull them up on occasion and will probably buy more as I cycle more. Since they have washed well and do provide much need cushioning during my rides. I just think others should know they will want to make sure they have a longer top on when they wear them - or you'll want to change your name to Cyclist McButtcrack. ;-)

Great Capri's
Perfect fit (used the sizing chart), washes well, have no problem with the back of the pant showing any body parts, comfortable and lightweight. Pad has been comfortable on rides up to 30 miles and longer, no issues with rubbing or stitching where pad is sewn in. May need a little heavier Capri for riding in the California Valley winters below 50 degrees. Love them and won't hesitate to order another pair!

Seams!
Nice weight capri. The pad is very wide - not deep, wide. Its also stitched in and the seams are rough. Lots of chamois butter need to overcome the friction/chafe issues on the seams. I could not wear these for long rides. Darn. I was hoping for something a little better.
ProsGood coverage.
ConsSeams.

Great padding but low at the back
These capris feel great and I love the flash of colour on the back of the legs. They seem to fit well (mostly). What is a problem is that the back is cut quite low - so as I was riding along in them for the first time my husband kindly informed me he could see my "builder's crack" GREAT!!! Just what you need to find out. So low marks for modesty - high marks for comfort.
Merchant Response:Hello Catherine, Thanks for the feedback regarding the "crack" modesty. We used your comments along with others to update the fit of this item so that it has a higher rise in the back. I think you will find them to be much more comfortable for you with these pattern revisions. We appreciate you taking the time to comment to help us make them a better fit. c

good everyday womens knickers
It's hard to find good lightweight women's knickers, most are heavy thermal fabrics. these are a nice standard fabric good for spring and fall, and all winter in Southern California. fit is good, fabric stays put. I think waist is just a little low, some jerseys gap a little and that's not so nice. but that's a short jersey problem, too. One side of the pad slightly irritated me at the groin duri
