I found the Aero Tech Padded Bicycle Underwear to make my 2 to 3 hour rides much more enjoyable and comfortable. I will be buying another pair.

Lets ride up when worn under shorts

Posted by Robert on Jul 2nd 2017

I bought these for tour riding, and I couldn't be less pleased with them.

I bought a few pairs to try on an extended tour, and they have several issues. The pad is VERY small and minimal, both of which are not great for "touring" shorts. The small size of the pad is actually a problem as they caused saddle sores because they rubbed inside my sit bones for hours. The other issue is that these shorts ride up. They start as boxers, end up as briefs after 2 hours of riding. After a recovery period I rode in just plain underpants, and they were multiples more comfortable than these.

The redeeming quality of these shorts are breathability, as they are VERY comfortable off the bike. They're also great for 60-90 minutes of ride time on an already plush seat. But for multi-day touring? No way. Two pairs over two days and I've already slated these for the garbage can. I'd ask for a refund, but one does not simply return undergarments.

I wanted to love these underwear

Posted by Fred on May 1st 2017

I really wanted to love these underwear - bought them to use under Aerotech's pedalpusher shorts which are great. The underwear are actually great - pad was perfect on the seat - no chaffing after 30 miles, and the mesh material elsewhere was comfy and cool. From that standpoint I could see 100 miles no problem. However the pad did not extend up the front high enough to cover my junk. I bought the XXL - and at about 15 miles I had to stuff a hankie over my junk or I was going to die. The mesh was moving just enough to make the ride shear misery. If the chamois extended up another 2 inches all would be well. Or if there was a panel of smooth material up the front. In fact I went and checked this pad against the length of pad in my Mt Bora Baggy shorts and a pair of Pearl Izumi compression shorts - both XXL and sure enough the pad was short in the front by 2 or more inches. I suspect they use the same size pad in all shorts, or they used ladies pad in mens underwear or something of that nature. The smaller size underwear would probably work out great for smaller person with the same pad - but for you larger guys - better bring a hankie or something else you can stuff down there or have a way to bail out on the ride. Perhaps a smaller tighter size would have helped.... at 40 bucks a pop - not really feeling like experimenting.

    Great and durable product.

Posted by Mike Denham on Apr 23rd 2017

Comfortable shorts with plenty of ventilation. Used on my 500 mile ride on the Great Divide Mountain Bike route through Wyoming back in August 2015 and still using the same shorts. So after two years and around 4,000 miles they are just now starting to come apart where the padding meets the short. Dries fast and stays cool on hot days. I have a 34 waist and the large fits great, even with big cycling thighs. Doesn't stretch out after washing.

    Best Comfort

Posted by Andrew Stevens on Jan 11th 2017

This is the second pair that I have purchased and they are amazing. They are VERY comfortable all around. I use the many times during colder months for spinning classes. Being a larger guy it is nice to have an under layer on without exposing all the bulges. Best recommendation for optimum comfort is to put them on and ride. Try to avoid wearing them to the gym in the car since they adjust and settle. I have purchased a different pair online form another retailer and they were crazy tight and ended up returning that product, but not these. Top quality product!!

    Thin, light, and breathable.

I commute 4 miles one way to work. I wanted something to wear under shorts or pants without feeling bulky. These are perfect! True to size. I plan to get more.

    Great pants

Good American-made light weight underwear. Dry fast. Bought large as the medium would have been tight for 34 waist.
