Aero Tech Waterproof Jacket
Aero Tech Waterproof Jacket
Fits and looks great. Haven't had a chance to test it in weather yet though. Zipper needs to be installed for conventional right handed opening. The one I received has the zipper opening pull on the left side
Good fitting jacket with long back for cycling. Not much in the way of reflective material on it though which is a shame. However, definitely the best fit we have found for tall/large body shape.
Just purchased the jacket. Beautiful, except, first time I used the zipper it broke away from the jacket.
Though I ordered the wrong size that is my problem. Too big but I can deal with that. In driving rain it kept me dry. The lining inside kept the outside surface from transferring cold evaporation to my inner base clothes. The cuffs are adjustable with velcro instead of an annoying elastic choke. This allows me to roll the sleeve up when and if I need to. All zippered jackets have a strip of cloth along the inside of the jacket ... which makes them ALL impossible to zip up or down when riding without taking both hands off the handlebars. I simply used a scissors to cut that off, allowing me to zip up or down without catching the lining on the zipper. The adjustable string at the base of the jacket allows me to tighten the jacket ... especially important since I race recumbent bikes and I don't then have to worry about rain or wind billowing the jacket out. I would have liked this jacket to have a vent on the sides to deal with overheating. But not a deal killer.
Very Light weight ,comfortable, and worm jacket! It has allowed me to ride in colder & wet weather conditions!
Great fit on a large guy with a tummy. I got 2 sizes above my shirt size and it worked great on the bike. I liked the adjustable sleeve straps too. I would recommend it in rainy weather or really cold weather. It was too hot for a recent cycling event that had rain but it's a good jacket
As a larger woman it has been difficult at times to get things that fit well. I called Aero Tech and asked a couple questions which they were happy to help with as they had this particular jacket available at that moment to answer my questions. One is hip size that is not listed in the stats. They measured it for me and I placed the order.
When it arrived in a surprising time (I expected it in a couple days later) I tried it on, was perfect!
This is replacing one of my loved jackets and will be doing dual-duty as a cycling jacket as well as a weather jacket.
Thank you Areo Tech.
Normally wear a 3x, I originally got a 4x to fit over layers but was too tight. 5x in this is tight through the shoulders. Coat doesn't bellow or flap in the wind, which makes for a nicer ride. Water doesn't bead up but still arrive mostly dry in hour long rides in heavy rain.
Whomever designed this jacket obviously didn't do any alpha testing. The zipper baffle is on the inside and the cheap zipper gets stuck in it continuously. It's very frustrating. Also, if caught in the pouring rain, the water gets in through the zipper (since the baffle is inside instead of outside. The jacket works for wind and drizzle, but don't buy for a Pacific NW rainy season. It won't keep you dry. Positive point is the extended flap that unbuttons from rear of jacket.
I really like this product. It really is much more breathable than my other rain jacket. I am large and the jacket won't have much room for warmer layers as it gets colder here but it has made my rides in rain much better. The product loses a star for cheap flimsy zippers but don't let that stop you as the product is quite good.
I like the Jacket one because it's 3x. Two because it's American Made(very important). Three it's water proof. Iv'e notice a climb in Older People riding bikes more in Portland Oregon. To have a waterproof, This size, Made in America is what we need to bring people out of there shells and ride the city.
Finally I have found a supplier that makes quality cyclist clothing in real mens sizes. Great fit great quality and great price.
