We’ve improved our Liberator’s looks for 2016 by giving it a new, ergonomically shaped back panel to reduce the points of stitching contact between you and your saddle. One notch higher on the comfort scale, Terry's Liberator Gel for men is as soft a touring saddle as you should buy if you're a pretty serious rider. Lots of people make the mistake in thinking that a really soft, squishy saddle is the solution to their seat woes, but after an hour they begin squirming because pressure is spread evenly across all areas. We've engineered the Liberator Gel to give you all the softness you need in a thin layer of gel, with good support below from multi-density foams. Your legs should give out before your nether regions with this saddle.

Length x width: 269mm x 173mm
Weight: 470 g / 16.6 oz
Rails: Satin Steel
Cover/features: perforated Dura-tek cover with black stitching and a thin gel layer

I now own 5 seats for my carbon fiber bike
I now own 5 seats for my carbon fiber bike and this one is by far the most comfortable,
ProsI was about to give up the 2,500 - 3,000 miles i ride every year riding due to the feeling i was developing bone spurs on my butt from 4 other seats.

Good choice for my hybrid
Went through a lot of saddles on my hybrid until I came across this one. I also spend time on my road and mtb bikes, but my wife and I do a lot of touring on our hybrids, which typically don't come equipped with great saddles to begin with. I got a Terry Liberator for my wife's bike a few years ago, which she likes very much, and after having less than ideal results with other saddles that I tried, I decided to get the men's version of the Liberator for myself. They say the best saddle is one you never think about when you're on it, that pretty much describes this one. What a relief not to have to put up with saddle discomfort any more. I typically ride with the wife about twice a week, and the rides are so much more enjoyable now. I had previously tried a couple of the earlier versions of the Liberator, and the 2016 version has been changed somewhat, and is a much better fit for me than some of the older models, which weren't terrible to begin with.
ProsComfortable Well made Just the right amount of padding
ConsMay be a little wide for a road bike, but that's not what I got it for.
Best UsesHybrid (my only experience so far) Touring Longer rides with a more upright seating position.

Too wide / soft
I bought this seat as a replacement for the stock seat on my KHS bike. It's basically the same seat and I was looking for something a bit more aggressive.. Returned this one and bought a WBT Rocket.
ProsWell made. Comfortable for casual riding.
ConsToo wide and soft for distance and / trail riding

Very comfortable
I've pedaled back into road cycling after a very long hiatus from what was once a very intense and regular regimen. Roughly 15 years off a bike. Kids, work, lack of time, more than a few extra pounds, not a unique story. Knees are worn out from injuries in youth and advancing osteoarthritis so light running and even walking have been increasingly more difficult as the last couple of years have passed. I decided to focus on cycling again as a fitness routine for the lesser impact on the joints and because I simply missed the culture and the feelings it gave me. Surprisingly for me the only part of my body that was the weak link in the early weeks were my sit bones. The cardio has come right along, knees have felt better than when less active and way better than when attempting running or workout walking and my weight has drifted downwards. The seat area had been not improving and was actually progressively getting worse. Decided I needed to focus on saddles with better bone fit for me. Was prepared to go through as many as needed to find the right one. Read some good reviews on the Terry Liberator and gave it the first shot. Couldn't be happier. My rides have become focused on what I want them focused on - increasing intensity and distance rather than increasingly sore sit bone area. I'm sure I'll find a new favorite saddle eventually. Right now this one has given me the comfort needed to push on to the next distance level.

Thank goodness for this.
As I adjusted from riding my hybrid to a strict road bike, I noticed that my rear end was not adapting as quickly as the other muscles. I realize that on road bikes, especially those build for speed, weight is an enemy. As such the saddle on my Madone was not built for comfort. This seat added a bit of weight, but is well worth it after going for 50-60 miles.

This seat has made a difference
This seat has made a difference in my longer distance riding over the stock seat that came on my bicycle. It does everything it is meant to do in easing pressure points. I highly recommend this for those having similar issues.

Got a new seat, just like the old seat
I purchased this same model ~15 years ago and wore it out over many thousands of miles of great rides. My butt and other body parts never wore out or hurt over all that time and many long days in the saddle. i'm hoping the new seat gives me the same comfort. The old saddle lasted ~30,000 miles. ( I tried to send you a picture of my wife and I with our tandem and your seat, but the pic is 14 MB and i don't know how to reduce it to 2MB. if you give me an address, i'll send that pic to you and you can reduce its density and use it [or not]. I don't have the skill to reduce it.)
ProsProtected all my sensitive body parts. Never became uncomfortable.
ConsIt wore out after only 30,000 miles.
Best UsesRiding a bike for many miles at a time over gorgeous rural terrain in many countries.

Several hundred miles and still love it.
Recommended by someone who has used one for over 10,000 miles and so far I understand why it was so highly recommended.

Sit bones don't hurt, but....
Took care of the pain from my sit bones but the neck of the saddle is a little too wide for me and started causing pain in that area. Might be a fit problem. Ill keep trying minor adjustments and losing weight. I'll keep an eye out for something wide and cushioning in the rear and narrower in the front. Overall it looks durable and well made.

A Comfy Saddle
I have been riding a Terry Saddle for about 8-10 years now. Up until recently, I had an old Terry Buzz Off saddle. The experts; say you should replace a saddle on a regular basis. Mine seemed fine, but yes, it was starting to get uncomfortable on long rides. I sent off for the Men's Liberator Y Gel Saddle. It is ever so slightly wider than my previous saddle. I am mostly a weekend rider and this saddle is just what the Doctor would have ordered if I had asked and my Doctor was a cyclist. Being ever so slightly wider gives a little more area for my sit-bones to rest. I liked it from the first ride.

great saddle for touring/long rides
Exceptionally comfortable right from the start. Great for all day rides, like a cushion of air. Having survived prostate cancer and surgery 3 years ago I know how important comfort is. Great price also!

Firm but Supportive
I thought the seat would be softer with more give. The seat seems like it has little give and not much support. When you first sit on it but the longer I'm on the seat the softer and more supportive it seems to get. It's A lot better than the one Cannondale puts on the bike stock that's for sure!
ProsFirm and supportive
ConsNot much give

This seat was recommended to me by a lifelong cyclist and friend while training for my first half-Ironman on a Trek 5. My previous factory seat was horribly uncomfortable for rides lasting longer than a hour. This seat more than fixed the problem!!! At first it seems too hard to be comfortable but the seat seems to soften perfectly and mold to your body after about 30 minutes in the saddle. Also
